What is dexos oil?
It's my first time at CSE, what do I do?
For express service, you would pull into the two Express Lanes on the far right hand side of the Certified Service facility. We ask that you always pull your vehicle into a lane when you arrive to ensure that you have a place. Once you are in a lane, an advisor will come out and ask for the services you would like, get the vehicle information, perform a brief walk-around inspection and obtain or verify your customer information. They will also ask if you if you have ever been to Ballweg Chevrolet before, and if you have any coupons or gift certificates. Once the advisor is finished you are welcome to wait in our customer lounge.
What services are provided at CSE?
Ballweg Chevrolet Certified Service Express provides basic services such as oil changes, tire rotations, balances, repairs and replacements. Minor services also provided include bulb replacements, battery, air & cabin air filter and wiper blade replacements. We will also perform a multi-point vehicle inspection including tire pressure, tread depth and brake measurements (if applicable), fluid top-offs, visual inspection of the vehicle and battery testing.
How long can I expect to wait?
In the express lanes, the estimated time is about 15-25 minutes per vehicle.
Can I make an appointment?
Certified Service Express operates on a first come first served basis. Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest days of the week for our Certified Service Express. You are more than welcome to call (608) 643-8571 to check on current wait times. Please remember that wait times are subject to change. If time is a concern, you may also make an appointment with the service department in advance.
May I leave my vehicle and pick it up later?
You are more than welcome to drop off your vehicle at our Certified Service Express facility. All we ask is that you please leave a phone number with the advisor at the time of write up for any questions that we may have or to contact you when the vehicle is finished. We do also have a shuttle service available upon request that will give customers a ride. If you return before your services are finished and had left a phone number, please let us know that you have returned to avoid any confusion.
Am I required to wait in my vehicle during my service?
No, you are welcome to wait in our spacious customer lounge and enjoy a cup of fresh coffee with a cookie. Sit back, relax and watch a show on our flat screen TV or bring your favorite book to read in our private waiting area. There are computers available to use, as well as free Wi-Fi for your laptop. Children can have fun in our playroom while you check out an iPad and peruse the web with peace of mind that you and your vehicle are in the right place.
Why do some bays move more quickly?
Bays differ in wait time depending on the services a customer is requesting. Time estimates for a service are also subject to change depending on the replacement of items on your vehicle or those in front of you.
Why was my vehicle pulled outside of the bay?
A vehicle is generally pulled outside of the bay if it is finished to keep the services behind you going. The advisor should be in shortly after this to go over the inspection sheet and start the cashier process. Another reason the vehicle may be pulled outside could be because the advisors and technicians are waiting on a part. In this case an advisor will inform you as to what is going on.
What is a Multi-Point Inspection?
With a Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection, you get a thorough assessment of your GM vehicle by GM-trained experts. Here's what the Certified Service experts look for:
General Motors is committed to designing, building and selling the best cars in the world. That's why GM Powertrain Fuel and Lube engineers developed the dexos engine oil specification. The result - engine oil designed specifically for your GM engine with added performance in areas important to its operation and maintenance. dexos is a high quality, robust oil that will contribute to longer drain intervals (meaning a customer can go longer between oil changes) as well as improved emissions performance, fuel efficiency and engine protection. And, just like GM, it's global.
What are genuine GM parts and why are they recommended for my vehicle?
When you head down the Certified Service Express lane at Ballweg, you can be sure we carry a full line of Genuine GM Parts, each one designed and manufactured to exacting standards for your specific GM vehicle. High-quality Genuine GM Parts are specifically designed, made and tested to help keep your GM vehicle running at peak performance and appearance - after all, your vehicle is an original. It pays to keep it that way. You can count on Genuine GM Parts to provide genuine dependability.
